The red, sweet aged wine made from sun-dried Chortais grapes of Mavrodaphne and Currants whose fermentation is stopped at the appropriate time by the addition of alcohol. Then the wine is transferred to French oak barrels where it is aged for 5 years before bottling.
It has a bright ruby color with signs of development and rich flavor and velvety, while the aromas dominate those of chocolate, plum and caramel.
