More Information

Producer Samos
Producer's Description The Nectar is perhaps the most historic wine wine Union and one that many have emulated, but no one has been able to reproduce!
The color is deep amber with beautiful orange hues.
On the nose aromas dominated evolution (aging), with raisins and antique waxed furniture in the foreground.
In the mouth holds a startling freshness, which can ensure the leading role at the table. In combination with gentle aromas of nutty composed a harmonious and powerful set, with very long aftertaste reminiscent aromas of tobacco, incense and marzipan.
It is a wine of ripe, sun-dried grape, aged for three years in oak barrels.
Can comfortably accompany exuberant sweet and sour foods (eg wild boar with quinces, duck with orange, etc.) and of course, desserts such as baklava and karydopita.

Type: Naturally Sweet Wine
Category: Designation of Origin "Samos" Controlled
Variety: 100% Moscatel small white berry
Territory: Mountainous drainage and not very fertile soils. Vineyards in small terraces.
Harvest: It is when the grapes are ripe enough. The grapes are transported in crates to the winery and then, sunning themselves for about a week. This results in a large increase in the degree of sweetness because of afydatosis.
When ripe grapes, harvesters choose bunch - bunch, the most exquisite for Nectar. Then, following the ancient practice of Samos, the bask for several days. After wine and full clarification of the must, the wine matures and aged for three years in oak barrels. In this way acquires an impressive aromatic condensation, which stand warm notes of exotic flowers, spices and dried fruits. The mellow, sweet, velvety taste of calls to enjoy chilled at 12 ° -14 ° C, next to classic syrupy sweets and exotic fruit tarts, chocolate desserts and dry karpon.
tasting notes: golden color with brown highlights. Intense nose with aromas multitude of flowers, spices, dried fruit, nuts and honey. Velvety taste with a long aftertaste.
