Producer's Description: This is the wine that established Apostolos Moundrikas in the wine-loving community. It is considered best value for money and one of the best examples of years of research and quality in Greek winemaking. Rich and robust, it shows its masculine character and strongly indicates its presence. You must try it to experience Greek Syrah.Varieties: Syrah 100%Region: Arma Viotias – Kalapodi AtalantiWinemaking: Classic red with prolonged maceration of 20-30 days. Controlled temperature at 24 °C to maximize varietal aromas. It follows malolactic fermentation and twelve months aging in new French oak barrels of 225 lt from Berthomieu. It is bottled without stabilization and filtration, so any sediment is normal.Tasting Note: Deep ruby color and complex bouquet. Aromas of spices, pepper, cinnamon, and smoke are framed by plenty of black fruits (plum, raspberry), and baked fruit jam with hints of vanilla. On the palate, it is rich, spicy, full-bodied with ripe, perceptible tannins and a round, long aftertaste.Aging Potential: 8-10 years.Unfiltered and unstable wine. Any amount of sediment in the bottle is normal.It is recommended to decant it into a carafe 30 minutes before consumption.
