The crown jewel of Ktima Chrysohoou and at the same time a modern wine, from the great vineyards of Naoussa! One of the most interesting blends of Xinomavro with nearly a decade behind it. The Merlot tames the strict Xinomavro, providing it with color intensity and an even more complex character. From there, time and the barrel take over to soften and mature the blend, leading to an exceptionally complex whole.

Its color is deep garnet. Its aromatic profile is composed of ripe red fruits, plum, tomato, floral notes as well as elements of oak such as vanilla, smoke, and nuts. On the palate, it is concentrated, with lovely fruit that balances between freshness and ripeness, well-integrated tannins, noticeable acidity, and a ‘oaky’ long finish. It can be enjoyed now but can evolve for another 5-7 years. We recommend opening it at least one hour before enjoying and decanting it to remove the sediment that has formed from the long aging.
