It is produced exclusively on Mount Athos from selected vineyards of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Traditionally, the monks of Hilandar dry the grapes to concentrate their natural sugars and aromas, imparting wonderful flavors of raspberry jam and dried figs.
