The brewery is named "Heiwa" or peace for their desire for world peace after the devastation of World War II. Built within and around a 500-year-old temple in picturesque Wakayama, the brewery is surrounded by mountains and abundant natural spring water. Heiwa Brewery is also famous for the fruits infused from plums, mandarins, and yuzu grown in their own orchards on the surrounding slopes.
