It is created from a blend of Sangiovese, Merlot, and Syrah planted on the slopes of the Tuscan coast where they achieve optimal ripeness as well as the expression of Italian, salty air. The three varieties merge for a year in barrel and offer accessible enjoyment from the first years of the bottle's life for the impatient, but also the potential for long aging for the patient.

In the glass, it displays its deep purplish vitality. The nose quickly opens with dense black forest fruit, dried plum, and an animal note of leather. On the palate, it is robust but with rounded, noble tannins, mild acidity, and enjoyable, ripe fruit that is enveloped with subtle oak spices. The flavor complexity fully resolves in a long finish and reveals very satisfying longevity.
