Goumenissa from the HatziVaritis estate is one of the landmark labels of the region. Its composition features Xinomavro at 70% with Negoska making up the necessary remaining 30%. The winemaking is done without unnecessary vinification interventions while importantly it has 12 months aging in French oak and at least 6 months preparation in the bottle before it reaches our hands.

In color, it appears almost deep ruby with brick-red reflections. Quite aromatic with a palate of fruits from cherry and raspberry, tomato and olive fillet showing on both nose and palate while notes of vanilla and cedar further sweeten the whole. It has enough body to cover the palate and a multitude of ripe tannins that will impart longevity over time. Its finish is long and allows the fruit to prevail.
