Karipidis - Syrah 2020

The deep ruby color immediately suggests a variety with intense pigments and phenolic elements, while the blue highlights in the glass give an initial indication of the young age of the wine. Clean nose, with a typical Syrah character, detected through aromas of ripe black fruits and raspberries, while a combination of spiciness, such as pepper, and sweetness, like vanilla spices, reference both the peppery character of the variety and the twelve-month use of oak. Hints of violet provide an additional floral character to the nose, which is also combined with some herbal notes. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium body, acidity that balances the 'juicy' fruit, while the level of tannins is medium and could be described as 'soft'. Medium-length aftertaste, with a vanilla oak sensation.
