Any moment is good for a Kozel and for a fragrant and flavorful escape to the enchanting Prague. Near the city where time has stopped lies Velke Popovice. This is yet another stunning little Czech town that is home to the brewery. Officially, the brewery appeared in the 16th century and has been included among the fastest-growing brands. For example, in 1875 it produced 18,000 hl, while in 1902 it reached 90,000 hl. Similarly, in 2000 its market share was 3.4%, and by 2004 it had reached 7.6%. Today, it is one of the largest breweries in the Czech Republic, and its dark head fascinates both locals and beer enthusiasts from all over the world.
