This Xinomavro comes from the phylloxera-free vineyard Barbagiannis in Amyndeo, with plants over 100 years old that yield exceptionally low quantities. Its color is quite deep for the variety. The aroma is complex with a combination of fresh and ripe red fruits, spices, and beautiful notes of flowers and sundried tomatoes. Its taste is rich with intense but well-integrated tannins, noticeable acidity, balance, and a long finish.

Producer's Description: Varietal Composition: 100% Xinomavro from 86-year-old vines, shaped in goblet. Location: “Chelones” at an altitude of 660 meters, with a northwestern orientation, overlooking Mount Voras. Region: “Ampelia”, Viticultural Zone of Amyndeo. Soil: Sandy - clayey, on a limestone substrate, with excellent drainage. Climate: Semi-continental with significant snowfall and a warm, dry summer with cool nights. Frequent occurrence of northwestern winds, absence of spring frost. Harvest: Collection in small boxes under controlled cooling at 8°C. Yield: 410 kilograms per hectare. Winemaking: Destemming, absence of a crusher, pre-fermentation cold maceration for 4 days, alcoholic fermentation at gradually increasing temperatures, aging of the wine for several months on its lees with periodic stirring. Aging: Eighteen months in selected fine-grained French oak barrels and eighteen months in bottles. It is neither filtered nor subjected to any processing before bottling. Organoleptic Characteristics: Bright ruby color with intense red reflections. Complex bouquet with characteristic aromas of dried plum and tomato. Full mouthfeel, excellent quality phenolic potential, with balanced acidity and a long-lasting finish. A wine with great aging potential.
