Deep red in appearance, with youthful reflections. Impressive nose thanks to the alluring aromas of red and black fruits such as cherry, strawberry, and currant. The oak embraces the aromatic ensemble represented by coffee and vanilla aromas. The palate has aromatic consistency, is soft, simultaneously rich and complex with good acidity, gentle tannins, and a spicy finish.
The Giannakohori is now a thing of the past, and the story of this great Greek wine continues through the label Ktima Kyr-Yanni -The Fallen OAK, as a memory of the 200-year-old Oak that was the trademark of the estate, and that fell by the wind. With a slightly modified blend since Syrah has now been added to the blend, the estate's new red is a worthy successor to the historical label, with dense fruit, robust yet mature tannins, and a long finish.<\/p>
