Macallan Night on Earth in Jerez 2024

The 'A Night on Earth' series from Macallan embarks on a journey across the globe dedicated to the celebrations for the new year, and here we have a limited single malt edition focusing on the city of Jerez. It is named so due to its connection to the local heritage of the area, where Macallan matures in barrels that have been used for storing sherry from Jerez. The result is a whisky that combines the traditional character of Macallan with the sweet and spicy notes of sherry, creating an exceptional blend of flavors that evokes the Spanish festival and the excitement of flamenco. On the nose, we can find sweet raisins, cinnamon, star anise, rich oak character, and citrus. There is a subtle hint of dried fruits, with a touch of vanilla and mild spices. On the palate, white grapes, honey-glazed almonds, vanilla, balanced spicy notes, and hints of fresh rosemary.
