Palo Santo Malbec 2024

The Bodega Urqo Palo Santo Malbec comes from the renowned Uco Valley, one of the most important viticultural regions of Mendoza. The high altitude of the area bestows the wine with clarity of fruit, structure, and finesse, creating a Malbec with depth, intensity, and a particularly elegant character.

On the nose, aromas of graphite, black cherry, and ripe plum stand out. On the palate, it is full and well-structured, with notes of black tea, dark fruits, and soft creamy vanilla. The tannins are mature and discreet, providing pleasant grip without overwhelming the palate, while the finish is clean, elegant, and persistent.

After a brief pre-fermentation maceration, part of the wine ages in new and used French oak barrels, while the rest remains in stainless steel tanks. This preserves the freshness and clarity of the fruit, along with a subtle presence of oak. It pairs excellently with duck breast, pork chops, grilled meats, and dishes with warm spices.
