This 14-year-old Talisker has matured in ex-bourbon casks and finished with an innovative process: new American oak barrels that have been charred by the heat of volcanic rocks from the Isle of Skye, imparting explosive flavor. Born from a land shaped by fire and water, this bold expression channels the wild elemental spirit of Skye. Sweet-smoky and salted spicy notes emerge like lava from the ocean floor — refreshing, adventurous and undoubtedly Talisker.

TASTING PROFILE

Nose:

Subtle yet intense nose, dry to the touch, with light tingles and marine and mineral notes. As the spirit breathes, the aroma becomes more fruity with a hint of white grape, while the slight herbal notes suggest parsnip and the sensation of the nose becomes drier.

Palate:

A pleasant mild flavor that is intensely sweet and salty, quickly evolving into a controlled peppery sensation with hints of peat.

Finish:

Long, dry and slightly peppery, with a note of spicy pink pepper and a soft smoky reminder of peat on the aftertaste.
