The flagship of Achaia Clauss plays in a class of its own in terms of quality, highlighting the huge potential of the renowned name of origin Mavrodafni Patras. The Grande Reserve 1979 is a shockingly complex wine with great aging which reveals a multifaceted aromatic and tasty character you will rarely have the chance to find.
Dark brown with green reflections in the glass due to the long period of maturity in the barrel. Full sophisticated aromas of dried fruits such as figs and raisins, chocolate and hints of strong oxidation such as caramel, toffee and nuts. Delightfully sweet, hot alcohol and incredibly intense aromas in the mouth leading to an almost endless evolving aftertaste.
