A rosé, impressive in every way: starting with its intense crimson colour (Vissinokipos means sour cherry garden), proceeding with its strong fruity nose, and ending with its rich feel and long aftertaste in the mouth. It is no exaggeration to say that Vissinokipos is a rosé wine that wanted to be born red!
Rosés are usually easy-drinking and elegant wines, which is why they are often drunk on their own, as an aperitif. Vissinokipos is not exactly like that. The uninitiated has an idea of the wine's profile from its deep and intense color, and of course from its alcoholic strength. With the first sip, however, Vissinokipos catches our attention. Its dense aromatic character and subtle tannins make it clearly a food wine, and quite a strong one at that. It longs for a rich red sauce, summer red meats and is at its best when starring in a hearty barbecue!
