|Producer's Description||In 1978, the Marquis Piero Antinori «wrote" story showing a new wine, Tignanello 1971 harvest. The history of the matter lies in the courageous decision of the great Tuscan winemaker to blend a small amount of Cabernet Sauvignon, an alien variety for the region, the local Sangiovese. His move was "downgraded" from the Tignanello wine with Geographical Indication (IGT) in a simple table wine. But the wine was excellent. Both excellent in world trade named Super Tuscan and let be a wine with no right to petition its geographical origin.
The story from there got her way. The other winemakers in the region have realized the unique opportunity to upgrade the quality of their region and imitated the Marquis. The Italian legislature, svelte and perceptive, followed the trend legislating accordingly. A new category, radiant and high goodwill was born! Super Tuscans ... who for forty years are the locomotive of an entire fan Oinochori rooms where the key word now is pluralism.

Early 2007. Kuci Nemea. The GAIA believing in dynamic wine region of Nemea, which should not be restricted to a single variety, creates the GAIA S. A new wine that combines our beloved Agiorgitiko with French Syrah. To «S» you can interpret it whichever way you like. «S» for Syrah and «S» for Super Nemea.
The grapes from the vineyard of GAIA in hilly Kuci Nemea. The GAIA S Aged 12 months in French oak barrels of 225lt of Nevers and Allier forests of central France and since then bottled without filtering or mediate some other treatment, it remains in the bottle 5 months before marketing.
; The result is a wine with a very deep red-violet color, aromas of great intensity, purity and complexity, where Agiorgitiko and Syrah each other with mutual respect. The structure is robust, exuberant and generous.
Under ideal storage conditions, at a temperature never exceeded the 12th-14oC, the GAIA S will continue for more than a decade to evolve into a more complex form.
