Availability: Available within 3 work days
Sweet, Still, White, Aidani, Athiri, Assyrtiko, Ages well, 13.5% alc.
One of the most important sweet wines, not only in Greece but in all of Europe. A Vinsanto that has aged for at least 16 years in the cellars of the Silver Estate in Santorini with unimaginable complexity and a very beautifully balanced sweet that comes from vineyards older than 200 years. It's worth every euro you spend to get it!
Overripe grapes from Assyrtiko, Aidani and Athiri are strictly selected in the area of Episkopi and dried under the hot sun of Santorini for about fourteen days. After fermenting the wine matures for 3 years in concrete tanks and then ages for 16 years in old wooden tanks. Its color is deep bronze. The aromatic evolution of wine in the glass is shocking, with dried fruits such as plum and raisin, orange peel chocolate, caramel, honey, coffee, nuts and honeycomb. The palatable concentration and freshness in the mouth are underlined by the amazing acidity that balances the sweetness, leaving an endless aftertaste.
