The Papas vineyard in Megalochori with vines aged 150+ years, gives a rare and majestic wine from Assyrtiko that raises the status of Santorini wines even higher. The excellent raw material and maturation for 22 months in a stainless steel tank, 2 months in an oak tank and for another year in the bottle, give the wine amazing structure and intensity, clearly expressing the characteristics of this unique terroir.

Details

Its color is gold with several green highlights. Its aroma is complex with fruits reminiscent of citrus fruits, peach and pear, herbs such as chamomile and thyme, nuts, honey and minerals. Salty, mineral but also wonderfully smoked like gunpowder in the mouth with sharp acidity, nerve and aftertaste that lasts 'forever'. It is definitely one of the wines that can evolve for at least a decade. Give Papas 30 minutes to 'breathe' before you enjoy it, to unfold the whole world of its complexity.
