The Papas vineyard in Megalochori with vines aged 150+ years, gives a rare and majestic wine from Assyrtiko that raises the status of Santorini wines even higher. The excellent raw material and maturation for 22 months in a stainless steel tank, 2 months in an oak tank and for another year in the bottle, give the wine amazing structure and intensity, clearly expressing the characteristics of this unique terroir.

Assyrtiko is already making history having found its way to the world market and Charidimos Hatzidakis is among those who are raising the profile of the variety vertically. The most terroirist driven of the island's producers, chooses grapes from hundred-year-old vines, giving a softly oxidized style, unique to Assyrtiko after 24 months of aging in old barrels.
