There is no doubt that Savatiano is now among the most important native varieties. There is also no doubt that Vasilis Papayiannakos is the producer who contributed the most to its rebirth. This single vineyard (Vientzi) Savatiano from old vineyards and low yields, with its mineral elements, complexity, sharp acidity and aging is probably the top specimen of the variety.

The name of Vassilis Papagiannakos may be associated with the Savvatiano of the Attica vineyard, but he also produces excellent red wines. A typical example is this blend of Agiorgitiko with Cabernet Sauvignon that focuses on the pleasant fruity elements and its velvety character. It is ready to conquer those who face difficulties with the "stiffness" of red wines.

Markou family, apart from Attica, also owns vineyards in Nemea, where they cultivate by investing in very low per acre yields from which they produce very fine red wines with an emphasis on Agiorgitiko. This wine combines very nicely the freshness and liveliness of the fruit with the elements of oak.

The flying renowned wine-maker Michel Rolland is responsible for this ultra-premium wine made from Syrah and Agiorgitiko grapes. This is a real monster, with amazing concentration, high alcohol levels and enormous depth.
