In Naoussa PDO region, the pioneering Kir-Yianni estate produces premium wines from 100% Xinomavro. Ramnista is a top Xinomavro with black fruits, vegetal aromas such as sun-dried tomato and olives and firm structure.

Manos Markovitis who holds the reins of the eponymous winery carries heavy history on his shoulders, that of Chateau Pegasus one of the first wineries in Naoussa. Mark focuses on Xinomavro and the emergence of having solid foundations but putting his own stamp producing only this label style that oscillates between traditional and modern Naoussa. It places particular emphasis on land, leaving it to 'do' the job without many interventions utilizing family vineyard is certified organic vineyard since 1992, long before familiar with this concept.

Katogi Averoff, although located quite far from Naoussa, manages to bring to our glasses an exceptional expression of the variety with bright fruit and botanical elements, lively acidity and noticeable tannins. It uses fruit from selected vineyards in the area and vinifies it exemplary, capturing all the typical characteristics of PDO Naoussa wines.

Deep ruby color, complex aroma that combines spicy notes with mature and dried red fruits like red current and cassis. Ripe dried red currants and cassis on the palate, full-bodied, with ripe and integrated tannins, excellent balance with an aromatic and lingering aftertaste at the end.

Apostolos Thymiopoulos is one of the most important Greek producers of the new generation! They are among those that have opened new horizons for Naoussa's Xinomavro. But it could not stay within the boundaries of a particular region. After his successful 'landing' in Santorini, he attempts to 'conquer' Rapsani. Tasting this complex and multi-faceted wine, one of the finer vineyards in the area, where Xinomavro occupies about 50%, we can already conclude!

Amazing, limited production, Xinomavro from Naoussa and the subversive Apostolos Thymiopoulos, produced from old rooted vineyards and acrobatic in style between the traditional and the modern school. Dense aromas of dark fruits, spices and plant elements create a complex set with strength and delicious concentration.
