The ‘new kid on the block’ in terms of exciting varietals, Malagousia from Alpha estate is appealing due to its stone fruit, botanical and flowery character, being a great alternative to international aromatic grape varieties.

Wonderful and elegant Malagouzia from the privately owned vineyards of Hadjimichalis Estate in the Atalanti Valley. A part of the wine ripens in oak barrels to obtain very fine oak elements that endow an already charismatic grape and allow it to mature for 3-4 years.

Those who are not yet convinced that Xinomavro, apart from exceptional red wines, also gives us great rosé wines, should try the "Dianthos", bearing the signature of the Boutari winery, a company that has tied its name with Naoussa and the most important red variety of Northern Greece. The myth says that Dianthos is the flower created by Zeus because he envied the lily, the flower of Hera. Elegant, vivid but also modern, Boutari's flower gives us endless moments of enjoyment.

Assyrtiko in general does not need recommendations anymore, it has flooded the entire Greek vineyard! But we must recommend you an Assyrtiko from the unique terroir of Egialia from vineyards at an altitude of 750 - 900 meters and the talented Theodora Rouvalis. An amazing wine that combines both the strict characteristics of the grape and the charming and fresh aromas that are favored by the high altitude and the influence of the sea. It is an expression of the variety that should be enjoyed by the fans of Assyrtiko but also by those who do not particularly like it because they will change their mind.

Its aroma is intense and expressive with bergamot and peach dominating and embracing with notes of herbs, pepper and white flowers. The taste is delicious and fruity, the acidity balanced and the aftertaste spicy.

It is everything its name says: 100% Crispy Assyrtiko Old Bush Vines Wild Fermented. The Mouson Estate manages to give to this mainland Assyrtiko, island nerve and northern Greece spirt. Rich and playful, well-crafted and mind-blowing, it will become one of the best value selections of the variety.

Fokiano is one of the oldest varieties found mainly in the Dodecanese and the islands of the northern Aegean. Here we have a rosy expression of this red variety from Lipsi, which have entered the wine map in recent years thanks to the efforts of the only winery on the island, the Lipsi winery. If you are looking for something truly sought after and unique then this is definitely an ideal choice.

Excellent Assyrtiko from Thrace and specifically Abdera, which combines the friendly character of the variety when not grown in volcanic soils with the mineral character of Santorini. A wine that Ktima vourvoukeli gave him the time to evolve into a bottle and come to our glass having brought out all the characteristics that wine lovers all over the world have loved in this charismatic grape.

Grenache Rouge is a grape that gives amazing rosé wines. Here, in the shadow of Olympus, where the vineyards and the Navitas winery are located, it seems to have fully acclimatized, unfolding all its charming features. Fruit intensity, freshness and ticklish acidity in a ‘single vineyard’ rosé that can accompany dishes from all cuisines of the world, while drinking very pleasantly as an aperitif.

The Michailidis Estate introduces with Pyli a wonderful blend of white varieties that highlight the magic of the land of Drama. The wonderful balance of freshness and volume with the fruit in the foreground sketches a white wine made to match... everything!

Two local winemakers, Manolis Vavoulas and Nikos Gryllis, put Lipsi on the wine map of Greece when in 2013 they joined forces and created the Lipsi winery with the aim of producing wines that match and highlight their place. Here we have a white wine from three predominantly Aegean varieties, the red Fokiano (followed by white vinification) and the white Assyrtiko and Athiri, which stands out both for its charming fruity profile and its cool and delicious taste.
