Anniversary Vinsanto from the Gaia Estate aged for 20 years in 4th use or older barrels

Another jewel in the crown of greek sweet wines that placed Greece on the global radar. A great attempt by the estate to give us a Vinsanto, accompanied by a twist on the traditional style of wine and took eight years to get in the bottle. Complexity, richness and balance all in one bottle of 500ml.

The biggest greek and international competitions judge that Vinsanto is the "absolute star" of Greek sweet wines. This particularly well-crafted label perfectly combines the sweetness of overripe grapes with the acidity of Assyrtikos, giving us an elegant, complex and delightful sweet wine with a very long aging potential.

Dessert wine of sun-dried Assyrtiko and Aidani . The maturation of 3 years in large oak casks gives ripe , velvety character while embracing notes of honey , lemon and raisin aromas and sweet spices .

Assyrtiko is supplemented with a little Athiri and Aidani, the grapes are dried for 10-15 days under the hot sun of Santorini, they are 'pressed' during midday hours to more easily extract the concentrated, sugary, juice and then ferment for several months before moving to the big black-old wooden casks to age. The result is a mind-blowingly sweet wine with flavors and aromas that remain unforgettable for months.
