The large wooden barrels that were traditionally used in Santorini were called Αfoura. This exceptional Santorini expression of Anhydrous, signed by Apostolos Mountrihas, has matured in such barrels. This is the first wine from the new venture of Santorini's most iconic personality, Paris Sigala. An Assyrtiko of unimaginable+ purity and complexity, with surprising oiliness, minerality and lemony elements and a wonderfully salty aftertaste. Top combination of power and elegance!

Its color is light gold with several green highlights. Its aroma is complex, with citrus like lemon and grapefruit and mineral elements dominating followed by peach and almond notes. In the mouth it is rich with the characteristic crisp acidity creating waves of freshness, appreciable saltiness, some honeyed touches make their appearance, while the aftertaste has an incredible duration. Rare wine from the Argyrou Estate produced from strictly selected Assyrtiko vineyards over 150 years old that are cultivated in the area of ​​Pyrgos according to the principles of biodynamic cultivation. The few bottles are released to the market after having matured for a few years in the winery. 25% of wine matures for 12 months in French oak barrels and the remaining percentage for at least 30 months on its fine lees. A wine with excellent structure and enormous potential for development that is expected to redefine the Assyrtiko of Santorini.

The perfect ageing environment (steady and healthy temperature, humidity and absence of light) created a wine of iconic quality worthy of any wine collection. Terrasea is the first PDO Santorini wine produced exclusively from Assyrtiko planted in Thirasia island.
