The Papas vineyard in Megalochori with vines aged 150+ years, gives a rare and majestic wine from Assyrtiko that raises the status of Santorini wines even higher. After Epanomi, Kavala and Ilia, Vangelis Gerovasileiou and Vassilis Tsaktsarlis arrive in Santorini where they meet the oenologist Ioanna Vamvakouris and create the Mikra Thira winery, the first attempt made in Thirasia. Thalassitis is a wine with a long and steady course, which perfectly combines the formality and authenticity of Santorini's Assyrtikos with the modern character of a wine with an international profile. For this version, the head winemaker Yannis Paraskevopoulos decided to mature eache bottle under the depths of the santorinian sea. Only a few bottles survived from the deep sea submergion. The perfect ageing environment (steady and healthy temperature, humidity and absence of light) created a wine of iconic quality worthy of any wine collection. Terrasea is the first PDO Santorini wine produced exclusively from Assyrtiko planted in Thirasia island. Behind it are Vangelis Gerovasileiou and Vassilis Tsaktsarlis, who join forces with Ioanna Vamvakouris, having extensive experience in the vinification of Assyrtikos in Santorini. The vineyard, grown organically, is constantly expanding and we expect to see exciting wines as you will find out once you taste Terrasea.

The long-awaited collaboration of Yiannis Tselepos with the Chrysos family brings to the shelves of House of Wine a typical expression of Santorini's Assyrtikos, with purity of fruit, zesty acidity but at the same time rich in the mouth. A wine which, right from the start, aims very high and "promises" great development possibilities in the bottle.

Its color is light lemon-green. Its aromas are citrusy with an emphasis on lemon, grapefruit and orange peel, followed by notes of peach, pear, gunpowder-like minerality and touches of green tea. The mouth is very complex and balanced with its acidity being very high, the minerals being intense and the aftertaste living us a feel of freshly squeezed lemonade. It is one of the wines that can evolve for at least a decade.

Stunning expression of Santorini, where its aroma, although still quite fresh, is at the same time elegant and complex, with fresh citrus fruits, citrus peel, ripe white fruits and aromas that resemble stone and portray the terroir. Harvested from a single vineyard that was often referred as of superior quality when comparing it with other vineyards in Santorini it ages for 18 months of the fine lees. It effortlessly brings the raw vocanic terroir to our glasses.

From a variety that has huge potential and it takes a while to unfold , it is important to see that the creators have the patience to wait and circulating two years after harvest. The Anhydrous by Apostolos Mountrichas brings a new look to the performance of the majestic terroir of Santorini. Its unique talents, created by the earth, the volcano and the sea breeze are exceptionally reflected, with the fruit meeting the smoky minerality and the incredible levels of acidity under a solid structure.

Wonderful Assyrtiko that expresses all the grandeur of the Santorini vineyard. It comes from overripe grapes, is vinified in amphorae and remains for some months with the wine lees acquiring a complex and at the same time elegant character. Pithari 6 is one of the amphorae used for the 'Tria Ampelia 2021' wine which comes from a single vineyard over 60 years old. Fermented with indigenous yeasts, leaving some residual sugars and matured for 16 months.

The new generation of the Hatzidakis winery does not stop its creation path by introducing a special single vineyard Santorini from 100% Assyrtiko that matures on its part with fine wine lees for 12 months while 30% rests in French oak barrels. Ariadni Hatzidaki designs the label while there are only 1700 bottles.
