Deucalion, the ancient King of Thessaly, is said to have survived the great flood along with his wife, Pyrrha, daughter of Epimetheus, and they were the only two humans who then shaped humanity from scratch. Giorgos Karamitros crafts an exceptional Assyrtiko, giving it a name that reflects the greatness and resilience it has proven as a variety in the sea of the Greek vineyard.
It has a bright appearance with a moderate lemon hue and a particularly outgoing nose in the style of Assyrtiko. Lemon, orange, and white-fleshed peach appear with a tropical character of juicy pineapple. A dose of salinity and good acidity, inherent traits of a good Assyrtiko, are present, enhancing the freshness.
