Nikos Doulofakis tackles the winery's favorite red variety and produces a wine from his cellar, a real ace! A distinctive winemaking approach that transforms the elegant Liatiko into an exceptional Grande Réserve. Grapes from old vineyards in Dafnes, aging for 18 months in French oak and resting in the bottle for 30 months result in an exuberant and delightful red that takes Cretan reds to another level.
Lustrous deep ruby color with subtle garnet highlights. Rich, complex and expressive nose with protagonists in the bouquet of red and black fruits, sweet spices and fine leather. The mouth impresses with its structure and the exemplary balance of ripe fruit, cool acidity and velvety well-crafted tannins. The aftertaste is long and maintains the sweetness of the sip.
