Assyrtiko is very well expressed in the land of Laconia, producing a more extroverted lemonade but also a mildly floral character, while at the same time combining the high acidity and the earthy notes of the variety. When the price of most Assyrtikas has 'escaped', here it seems to be forgotten at low, for variety, levels.

Monemvasia is a rather rare variety that gives pleasantly cool and delicious wines just like this nice version from Laconia. It is a very gastronomic wine that goes well with both Mediterranean and Asian cuisines, but is also drunk as an aperitif.

Three indigenous varieties, Agiorgitiko, Limniona and Mavroudi wear their extroverted costume and give us a luscious rosé wine with very nice aromas of fruits and flowers and a refreshing taste. A wine that can stand with equal ease on the everyday as well as on a festive table. It is also very pleasant as an aperitif.

Kidonitsa is one of the most up-and-coming Greek varieties with the one from Monemvasia Winery leading the way and showing the way, winning the first rave reviews from reputable wine critics such as Jansis Robinson. With incredibly delicious taste, freshness and duration it is definitely a white that wins the impressions. Its trump card is the very good value for money.
