Dimitris Mansolas and Maria Tamiolaki, two excellent winemakers, created Hetero Wines in 2018 with the aim of producing ‘diverse’ wines from various regions of Greece. Here we have a rare combination of two great indigenous varieties, grown in the plain of Domokos and kneaded with native yeasts. The tannic character of Xinomavro is tamed with just 8% Assyrtiko, with the acidity of both varieties being at high levels, while at the same time the wine impresses with the intensity and freshness of the fruit.

Route 111 is an old country road that connects Nemea and Aegialia, the regions where the two great red varieties of the Peloponnese, Agiorgitiko and Mavrodaphni, thrive. Here, the varieties create in equal proportions a complex blend of vineyards at high altitudes of these regions, giving a complex wine with fresh fruit and concentrated flavor. It is bottled unfiltered.

From a particular vineyard an amazing expression of Xinomavro and Negoska by Christos Aidarini that manages and encapsulates the tradition of the region, giving a characteristic Goumenissa with aromas of ripe dried fruit and dried tomatoes, intense yet ripe tannins and if anything refreshing acidity .

Fully dedicated with love and respect for the vine, Irene Daskalakis gives a great red from Syrah and Kotsifali. Instinct as all of Daskalakis wines is produced based on the principles of biodynamic farming and is its flagship. Dense, with concentrated fruit flavors, warm alcohol and length in the mouth, a wine which manages to impress.

One of the very high quality greek reds that improve year after year. A velvety feel, correct tannic structure and an ideal finish make it a favourite among fanatical red drinkers.
