Dimitris Mansolas and Maria Tamiolaki, two excellent winemakers, created Hetero Wines in 2018 with the aim of producing ‘diverse’ wines from various regions of Greece. Here we have a rare combination of two great indigenous varieties, grown in the plain of Domokos and kneaded with native yeasts. The tannic character of Xinomavro is tamed with just 8% Assyrtiko, with the acidity of both varieties being at high levels, while at the same time the wine impresses with the intensity and freshness of the fruit.

The combination of possible red Syrah (92%) with white and aromatic Viognier (8%) is a practice that began in the Rhône wineries in France and perfected by most Australian winemakers innovators. Intense deep red color with purple hues, herbal nose with aromas of blackcurrant and plum, with hints of cinnamon and spice, thick mouth with nice acidity and finish barrel. Wine with a spicy aftertaste, relatively small, and with a sense of ripe fruit.
