Perivleptos Red 2017
Dry, Still, Red, Agiorgitiko, Mavroudi, Ages well, 12.5% alc.
€8.90 As low as €8.19The 'sweetness' of Agiorgitiko highlights characteristic red fruits, such as sour cherry and black cherry in a very ripe version - almost jam. The barrel enhances the complexity, imparting aromas of vanilla and cocoa, while in the background, some hints of milk chocolate, mint and animal notes emerge. In the mouth, the acidity of the wine lends freshness, with the red fruit appearing less ripe and the barrel "dominating" the aftertaste. -
Anarch Red 2019
Dry, Still, Red, Assyrtiko, Xinomavro, Keep for 2-3 years
€18.20 As low as €16.74Dimitris Mansolas and Maria Tamiolaki, two excellent winemakers, created Hetero Wines in 2018 with the aim of producing ‘diverse’ wines from various regions of Greece. Here we have a rare combination of two great indigenous varieties, grown in the plain of Domokos and kneaded with native yeasts. The tannic character of Xinomavro is tamed with just 8% Assyrtiko, with the acidity of both varieties being at high levels, while at the same time the wine impresses with the intensity and freshness of the fruit. -
Orino Red 2022
Dry, Still, Red, Syrah, Agiorgitiko, 13% alc.
€7.70 As low as €6.93For those who find complex, alcoholic, red wines 'tiring', Spyropoulos' Orino (mountainous) will delight with its relatively light body and pleasant fruity character. The season of the year does not play a role in this wine, since it is easy to drink both in the summer, when the temperatures hit 'red', but also in the winter, when its blend of Syrah-Agiortiko takes on the task of 'warming' you up. -
Route 111 2021
Dry, Still, Red, Agiorgitiko, Mavrodafni, Ages well
€18.50 As low as €17.02Route 111 is an old country road that connects Nemea and Aegialia, the regions where the two great red varieties of the Peloponnese, Agiorgitiko and Mavrodaphni, thrive. Here, the varieties create in equal proportions a complex blend of vineyards at high altitudes of these regions, giving a complex wine with fresh fruit and concentrated flavor. It is bottled unfiltered.
