Who could take the Vidiano from Crete to Kavala? Vangelis Gerovassiliou and Vassilis Tsaktsarlis create the first wine from Vidiano outside of Crete. With a variety of great characteristics they added 10% Assyrtiko and the result is amazing!

Elegant "barrel-style" white wine, from Assyrtiko and Chardonnay, two varieties that acquire a particularly complex character from the vinification and aging in acacia barrels. Two local winemakers, Manolis Vavoulas and Nikos Gryllis, put Lipsi on the wine map of Greece when in 2013 they joined forces and created the Lipsi winery with the aim of producing wines that match and highlight their place. Here we have a white wine from three predominantly Aegean varieties, the red Fokiano (followed by white vinification) and the white Assyrtiko and Athiri, which stands out both for its charming fruity profile and its cool and delicious taste.

Biblia Chora Estate and its creators Vangelis Gerovassiliou and Vassilis Tsaktsarlis decided to 'spread' to southern Greece. Their new acquisition is Kokkalis Skafidia Estate of Ilia, which has produced so far two red wines. In their first white they invest in the most acclaimed white variety of the Greek vineyard, Assyrtiko and in one of the most emerging, Kydonitsa. The result is a very charming wine that deserves our attention!
