Having 'understand' fully Xinomavro, the next step for the Kir-Yianni winery seems to be exploring and celebrating diversity through the different available 'terroirs'. The Good Root is not another 'Ramnista', but one different from old vines Xinomavro Amyntaio, more lightweight body, plenty of data for a variety of fruit, less tannin and more 'finesse' rather than 'power'.

In Naoussa PDO region, the pioneering Kir-Yianni estate produces premium wines from 100% Xinomavro. Ramnista is a top Xinomavro with black fruits, vegetal aromas such as sun-dried tomato and olives and firm structure.

It is a wine that focuses on the purity of the fruit, the freshness but also the gentle tannins and is bottled unfiltered.

The New Age Limniona Zafeiraki is an organic wine with intense red color, aromas of red fruits such as cherry, sour cherry and plum with distinctive botanicals. Balanced body, full of good acidity and silky tannins.

Investing in Greek varieties, Akrathos winery brings Agiorgitiko to its privately owned organic vineyards in Halkidiki, at an altitude of 550 meters and specifically in the area where the great philosopher Aristotle was born.
